Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Agricultural Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above Universities include;
Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) BASU accepts Agricultural Science or Biology.
(ii) LANDMARK requires Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
(iii) OOU requires any three (3) of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science.
(iv) ABU requires Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(v) FUTA requires Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. (vi) MAIDUGURI requires Mathematics, Physics and any of Chemistry or Biology or Agricultural Science.
(vii) FUTO requires Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
O'Level Requirements
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural Engineering;
You require;Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any from Intro. to Agric Sc. or Materials & Workshop Process and Machining, Tractor Layout Power Unit Under Carriage and Auto Electricity;Transmission System;Implement and Machine;Principles of Crop Husbandry and Land Use,Materials and Workshop Processes; Construction and Maintenance of Agricultural Machines; general Metal Work; General Wood Work and Building/Engineering Drawing.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) ABU accepts five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject. (Including Economics, Technical Drawing, Metalwork and Woodwork).
(ii) ADELEKE accepts 'O' Level credit pass in Biology or Agricultural Science as the fifth subject.
(iii) BASU accepts Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.
(iv) BUK requires five (5) 'O' Level passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
(v) ESUT accepts 'O' Level credit passes in English Language and all relevant subjects.
(vi) FUOYE requires five (5) credits at SSC (or its equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one other Science subject from Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Biology/Agricultural Science.
(vii) FUNAAB requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
(viii) FUTA requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject at not more than two (2) sittings.
(ix) FUTO requires at least five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and any other science subject in not more than two (2) sittings. At least a Pass is required in Biology.
(x) FUAM requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any two (2) of English Language, Biology or Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Geography and Economics. Also accepts Federal Craft Certificate or WAEC Technical. All candidates must have obtained at least 'O' Level pass in English Language.
(xi) RSUST accepts five (5) 'O' Level credit passes to include English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics or Further Mathematics and any other subject.
(xii) LANDMARK requires Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one other science subject (selected from Further Mathematics, Agricultural Science, Biology, Technical Drawing, Food and Nutrition.
(xiii) LAUTECH and BASU accept Biology in lieu of Agricultural Science.
(xiv) UNIMAID requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one from Biology, Geography, Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics or Technical Drawing at not more than two (2) sittings.
